How to Reprint Receipts

Reprinting a receipt in Indy POS is quick and easy. This is useful if a customer needs another copy of their receipt after the transaction has been completed.


How to Reprint a Receipt

Follow these steps at your POS:

  1. Open the Transaction Window

    • Navigate to the Transactions area on your POS screen.

  2. Select the Order

    • If it’s the most recent transaction, click Reselect Last Order.

    • For earlier transactions, search for the order using your Order Lookup or Transactions List.

  3. Open the Order Actions Menu

    • Tap the Pencil (Edit) icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

  4. Reprint the Receipt

    • Select Print Receipt from the dropdown menu.

    • Your receipt will immediately print from the assigned POS printer.


Tips for Staff

  • Ensure the receipt printer is online and has paper loaded.

  • If the printer does not respond, check your hardware settings in Stations & Hardware within IndyAdmin.

  • Only transactions that are completed can be reprinted. Pending or voided orders will not have this option.


Notes

  • Common Issues:

    • If the pencil icon is not available, the user may lack POS edit permissions.

    • Reprinting receipts does not re-tender the transaction or create a duplicate sale—safe to use anytime.

    • Multiple reprints are allowed; no limit is enforced.

  • Best Practice: Encourage staff to verify the Order ID before reprinting to avoid handing the wrong receipt to the customer.
