The Print Templates section in Indy Admin lets you configure how your printed materials appear across key operational areas—such as receipts, tickets, vouchers, kitchen dockets, gift cards, and invoices.

These templates help ensure your printouts are informative, professional, and aligned with your workflow—whether you’re printing bar tickets, kitchen slips, or donation invoices.


🖨️ Where to Find It

Go to:

Settings → Site → Print Templates


🧾 Template Types and Key Settings

Receipts

  • Request tip on receipt

  • Include register name / employee name

  • Display movie posters and item images

  • Include item modifiers (e.g. toppings or extras)

  • Partial cut receipt

  • Print payments on open tabs

  • Split out taxes (useful in regions with multiple tax types)

  • Add custom text to header and footer

🎟️ Tickets

  • Show whether price includes booking fee

  • Enable partial cut (for ticket stubs)

🎁 Gift Cards & Vouchers

  • Print logo

  • Print QR code or barcode for scanning

👨‍🍳 Kitchen Dockets

Highly customisable printouts for food & beverage operations:

  • Set default pack time (in minutes)

  • Enable Wait & Fire (send starters first, mains after)

  • Group dockets by:

    • Delivery time

    • Order ID

    • Modifiers or variations

  • Display options:

    • Delivery type

    • Employee name

    • POS station

    • Number of guests

    • Category and quantity of items

  • Font size settings for:

    • Order ID, name, date/time

    • Destination & due time

    • Items, modifiers, notes, categories

📄 Invoices

  • Toggle display of logo, address, and contact info

  • Add sections such as:

    • Custom payment links (ideal for private hires or parties)

💵 Cash Counts

  • Choose to print:

    • Credit card summary

    • Tip summary

    • Tip share breakdown

🖨️ Card Custom Print Template

Used when printing cards via:

  • Practical Automation printers (e.g. Stimare or Boca)

🛠️ Important: If using one of these printers, please contact Indy Support first to configure your custom card layout.


🧠 Best Practice Tips

  • Enable item modifiers if you offer customizable items (e.g. sauces, toppings).

  • Use grouping options in kitchen dockets to streamline prep and delivery.

  • Use custom headers to add branding or thank-you messages to receipts.

  • For dining or hybrid venues, enable Wait & Fire to manage course timing.
