Introduction
Meerkat Movies is a UK-wide cinema rewards programme run by Compare the Market (the folks behind the popular meerkat ads). If you’ve taken out a qualifying product—like car, home or pet insurance, travel insurance, broadband, mobile phone, or others—through their site, you get access to 2-for-1 cinema tickets every Tuesday or Wednesday for a whole year via the Meerkat app.
INDY now supports this integration, and allows you to seemlessly integrate to enable this offer for your customers.
Getting Started
To get started please download a copy of the Meerkat Movies application and return this to email address within the form.

This must be done before the settings can be enabled in INDY, doing so without this step will result in the integration not working.
If you already know your cinema's EDI code you can jump ahead to Configuration.
Configuration
To configure Meerkat Movies you first need to navigate to Settings > Site Configuration > Integrations.
Toggle the integration on, then enter your Meerkat Movies Site EDI code into the applicable field:
This creates a Voucher Type in Settings > Promotions > Voucher Types:
This Voucher is hardcoded with specific rules in order to offer the 2-4-1 deal on the correct days:
You can use other voucher restrictions as you normally would i.e. restricting certain ticket types, movies or showings to either be included or excluded in the offering.
You can also set the Maximum Value the voucher is worth, we recommened leaving the value as it is, as this will discount one ticket by 100%
When a customer inputs their Meerkat Movie code online, or provides it at the point of sale, we reference this voucher to drive the discounting procedure.
Customer Journey
Once everything is activated and you are happy with setup you will obviously wish to communicate this to your customers. Below are the processes for redeeming Meerkat Movie codes both on your website and at your point of sale.

🚨 Things to remember
Only one Meerkat Movies code can be used per transaction.
We make an immediate call via API to verify if the code is valid, if the code has already been redeemed, it cannot be redeemed again.
If an order is refunded, the code is then marked as unredeemed, and can be used again.
We will always discount the cheapest of the two tickets in the order i.e. if you have an Adult ticket for £10, and a Child ticket for £9 - we will grant 100% off the Child ticket.
Reporting
When a code is used online, we create a corresponding Voucher record as well which gives you a full audit trail of when a code was used and by whom.
For INDY Purposes we add the letters MM to the codes, everything after the MM is the code supplied by Compare the Market:
