The Movie Library in Indy Admin is your central hub for managing all film titles across your cinema(s). From adding new releases to controlling visibility on signage and scheduling embargoes, this is where your film data lives.
🔍 Viewing Your Movie Library
Navigate to Indy Admin → Content → Movies
Browse the table of all movies already in your library
Sort by Release Date, Date of First Showing, or other fields
See badges for Coming Soon, Now Showing, and other statuses
Use the Search bar to quickly find a title
➕ Adding Movies to the Library
You have three options:
1. Add from INDY’s Library
Click Add from Library
Greyed-out titles = already added
Select any others and hit Add
⚠️ For multi-site circuits: Add movies to your Head Office/Main Site library first before pushing to individual sites.
2. Create Manually
Click Create Movie
Fill in title, release date, artwork, genre, rating, etc.
3. Import from TMDB
Type in a film title and click Sync TMDB
If incorrect:
Visit themoviedb.org, find the right film
Copy the TMDB ID and paste it into the TMDB ID field, then Sync (Override)
🖼️ Key Editable Fields
Posters/Banners: Upload your own or use TMDB artwork
Trailer: Paste YouTube ID (not full URL)
Synopsis, Cast, Crew, Tags
Coming Soon / Display on Signage toggles
Marathon Mode: Link titles for back-to-back events
Embargo Settings: Hide title or sales until a set date/time
Rating & Genre (including content warnings)
Studio & Title Class (required fields)
Showtime Buffers / Custom Price Cards / Max Tickets Per Order
🔁 Library Linking & Syncing
Movies added from the INDY library are linked
When INDY updates the master version (e.g. poster, synopsis), your version updates automatically
Movies created manually or via TMDB are not linked
You can link or sync them later to receive updates
Use the “Linked with Updates” menu to:
View link status
Manually link to INDY’s master library version
Unlink or stop automatic updates
🗑️ Deleting Movies
Only possible before a movie is scheduled
Once scheduled (even in the past), it cannot be deleted
Movies can be edited anytime using the Options menu

Use Search Tags to improve discoverability on your website
Use Reporting Name to separate internal naming from marketing-facing titles
Use Private Sale toggles for early access via 3rd-party sites like Atom or Fandango
Disable Concessions for content where food service isn’t allowed
For UK cinemas, enter the EDI Code (from DCM) to support trailer advertising workflows
