Sometimes, a customer changes their mind before completing a sale. Instead of manually removing each item, INDY allows you to quickly delete the entire transaction (also called clearing the cart) with a single action.
This function works on both desktop POS and handheld/mobile POS views.
How to Delete an Entire Transaction
Step 1: Build the Transaction
Add tickets and concessions to the cart as usual.
Example: 1 Adult ticket, 1 Concession ticket, 1 Super Combo, 1 Small Popcorn
Step 2: Clear the Transaction on Desktop POS
Look for the top square button on the POS interface.
Click it to instantly clear the cart.
All items will be removed, and the transaction will return to a blank state.
Step 3: Clear the Transaction on Mobile / Handheld View
Return to the main cart view.
Tap the hamburger menu (☰) in the top corner.
Select Clear Cart to delete the entire transaction.
Result
The transaction is fully cleared and no items are left in the cart.
You can immediately start a new transaction.
Tips for Staff
Use Clear Cart only before payment—once a transaction is tendered, it must be voided through standard procedures.
This feature is ideal during busy service to reset the POS quickly if a customer changes their order.
If a customer only removes a few items, manual removal might be better to retain part of the sale.
