This video provides a guided tour of the Indy Admin back office system—your control panel for managing site operations, settings, and configuration. Ideal for new users and staff going through onboarding.

🧭 Overview: What Is Indy Admin?

Indy Admin is your cinema’s back office platform. It's where managers, admins, and staff with elevated access can:

  • Approve new team members

  • Configure pricing, scheduling, and POS hardware

  • Review reports

  • Access training content

  • Manage memberships, inventory, and more

👤 Approving Staff Access

When your implementation expert sets up your staging website:

  • All team members should sign up as a customer on your staging site

  • You (or another approved manager) can then approve them as staff via:

Operations > Users > Search Name > Assign Roles

Roles available include:

  • Admin

  • Circuit employee

  • Site-level permissions

Once approved, they can log in to Indy Admin using your provided URL.

🔍 How to Navigate the System

  • Search Bar: Global search at the top of every screen

    • Press / on your keyboard to jump into search

    • Use section-specific search bars to filter within an area (e.g., Users, Ticket Types)

  • Sidebar Navigation:

    • Operations

    • Reports

    • Settings

  • Favorites: Click the ⭐ icon to pin frequently used pages for quick access

📁 Key Sections to Explore

Release Notes

  • View the latest updates, features, and bug fixes

  • Located in the Support area

  • New updates appear in bold at the top

📤 Pushing Changes Live

Indy Admin uses caching to protect POS performance:

  • By default, changes are saved but not pushed live

  • Push them manually using the green arrow icon

  • You can toggle on auto-push via the "Automatically push to registers" option

This means you can:

  • Work safely in the background

  • Choose exactly when to publish changes

🌍 Region & Site Info

Located in the top-right menu:

  • Region: UK / US / AU / NZ

  • Circuit: Your cinema group name

  • Site: Your individual location(s)

  • Libraries: Used for group-wide resources like ticket types or modifiers
