Inventory Items

Inventory Items represent the physical goods you hold in stock—from cans of soda to pizza bases and popcorn oil.

➕ Two Ways to Create Items:

Option 1: Auto-Generate via "Track Stock"

  • Go to Settings → Concessions → Items

  • Open an item variation (e.g. Milk Duds)

  • Toggle Track Stock

  • This automatically creates:

    • An Inventory Item

    • A default Inventory Recipe

    • Opening Stock Takes at all relevant inventory locations

Best for simple 1:1 mappings (e.g. bottled drinks, packaged candy)

Option 2: Manual Creation

Use for complex prep items (e.g. pizza, nachos):

  1. Navigate to Inventory Items

  2. Click Add Item

  3. Set:

    • Item Name

    • Base Unit (e.g. Each, Ounces)

    • Item Class (if applicable)

  4. Add Units of Measure as needed (e.g. Box of 20 = 20 Each)

  5. System will auto-generate opening stock takes for included locations

📂 Notes

  • Auto-generated inventory items inherit the item class of the concession item.

  • Manually created inventory items are not linked until used in a recipe.

  • Avoid duplicating inventory items when tracking common ingredients (e.g. popcorn oil used in multiple recipes).

  • Opening balances should always be reviewed immediately after item creation.
