Inventory Recipes define how much of each inventory item is used when you sell a concession item.

๐Ÿ”— How It Works

  • A Recipe Trigger links the recipe to a specific Item Variation at POS

  • A Recipe lists one or more Inventory Items and how much is used when triggered

๐Ÿ“„ Example: Cheese Pizza

  • Trigger: Sale of "Cheese Pizza" item variation

  • Recipe draws:

    • 1 Pizza Base

    • 5 oz Cheese

    • 3 oz Sauce

๐Ÿšง Prepareable Recipes

Use this if you prep items ahead of time (e.g. make 20 pizzas in the morning).

  • Mark the recipe as Prepareable

  • Create a Preparation Adjustment to:

    • Draw down ingredients

    • Add completed prepared items to inventory

  • When sold, the system reduces the prepared item, not raw ingredients

Great for managing short-shelf-life or batch-made products i.e. doughnuts baked onsite, or sauces prepped to serve as a side on a meal.

๐Ÿ“‚ Notes

  • Every recipe must have a trigger item variation and at least one inventory item.

  • Prepared recipes act as intermediate inventory products (e.g. pre-made batches).

  • When modifying a recipe, changes apply to future sales only.

  • Use consistent units of measurement across recipes to ensure reporting accuracy.
