The Export Data tool in Indy Admin allows users to generate and download structured datasets in CSV format. This is especially useful for accessing information related to orders, payments, gift cards, customers, vouchers, loyalty points, and more — either for auditing, reporting, or integration with external tools like Customer.io.

All exports are accessible under:

Indy Admin → Operations → Export

📁 What You Can Export

When you visit the Export Data page, you’ll see:

  • A list of previous exports, including:

    • Type of export

    • Who generated it

    • Date/time created

  • A list of available export types, including:

Internal Note: This tool is powerful for clients doing external reconciliations, third-party CRM uploads, or in-depth customer reporting. Exports persist and are accessible to all users with export permissions.

🎛 How to Create an Export

Step 1: Navigate to Export Data

  • Go to IndyAdmin > Operations > Export Data

  • Scroll to the bottom to find the list of exportable categories

Step 2: Choose Export Type

Click into any of the categories (e.g. Gift Cards, Users, Payments) to configure the export.

Step 3: Configure Your Export

Each export has several customizable fields:

  • Select Fields: Choose what columns to include in the CSV

    • Example (Gift Cards):

      • Card ID

      • Original Value

      • Current Balance

      • Creation Date

      • Expiry Date

      • Last Activity

  • Apply Filters:

    • Filter by date created

    • Filter by last updated (e.g. last use or modification)

    • Filter by state (e.g. valid, expired, redeemed)

Example: Export all valid gift cards created between 1 April and 31 July, showing current balance and last activity date.

Step 4: Generate the Export

  • Click Create

  • Export job will run in the background

  • Once complete, a Download CSV button will appear

  • Click to download and open the file

📝 Larger exports (e.g. Users with full detail) may take a few minutes. A progress spinner will show until complete.
